    Dog Licenses

Licenses are required for a pet dog aged five (5) months and older. A new license must be obtained every year.  Tags are available starting in late November for the following year.

     License Application

State law requires proof of current rabies vaccination including verification of the rabies certificate number and expiration date must be provided in order to issue the license.

The current fee for dog licensing is:
$21 for a dog that is not neutered or spayed.
$16 for a dog that is neutered or spayed.

A $5 late fee per dog will be charged after March 31st.

Fees are payable via check or cash only. Checks can be made payable to:  The Village of Chenequa.

All dog licenses expire on December 31st of each year.  The licensing law requires the tag to be displayed on the dog, with few exceptions noted.
