This afternoon, September 16, 2014, the Government Accountability Board held a news conference on the implementation of the voter ID law. Kevin Kennedy from the Government Accountability Board advised clerks that if an absentee ballot request is on file in the Clerk’s Office for November, we CANNOT mail out absentee ballots until we have your voter ID. We are still waiting for further direction on an acceptable method to receive your ID. We will update this information as soon as we know more.
