The Village of Chenequa has once again received a permit from the Wisconsin DNR to reduce the local deer herd using sharpshooters. The Village will offer a limited number of dressed deer carcasses to the public through a lottery style system.
Thirty-five (35) names will be drawn December 22nd, 2017. These names will be recorded in the order which they were drawn. If your name is drawn you will be notified via the phone number given on your information card, that you have made list eligible for a deer. A deer may be available from late December through Mid- March. Individuals will be called again in the order in which their names were drawn.
Note: Due to the variable number of deer taken from year to year, we cannot guarantee you will receive a deer, even though your name had been drawn. On the other hand, additional drawings will be made if needed.
